- It depends on what the complaint is (I'm not asking what it is, just making a statement) If the complaint is in regards to you not paying timely and they're unwilling to work out payments, not much you can do. If the complaint is not about you or payments, talk to whoever is in charge of the bank and as always... get everything in writing.
- Perhaps you could elaborate on the issue. They should send you a bill, you send payment…I don’t ever have cause to talk to my lender. What trouble are they giving you?
- Sorry about your situation. Mortgages get sold, that's for sure, and sometimes the new people are jerks. However, bad service isn't against the law, just irritating as #$%^%. Other than the usual stuff like contacting the Better Businss Bureau and your local chamber of commerce there's not really anything you can do unless they've crossed the line into something like mortgage fraud and that's unlikely since it's just a new company servicing (poorly) a mortgage that already exists. I hope things go better in the future.
- By trying to work them them I assume that you have fallen behind? When a company buys a mortgage everything from the original mortgage remains the same, interest, rates, payment due dates etc, nothing changes but who you send the check to. If the problem is indeed do to them not wanting extend, or change your rates, or accept the fact that you are behind, is not something that you can complain about. In other words the problem is not with the mortgage company. If I am incorrect then what is your complaint with them? There should be no difference in your mortgage or terms.
- Mortgage companies are easy to get along with if you pay your mortgage. Try to start with that.
- If you are simply displeased with their levels of customer service, don't bother trying to file any complaints. You will be wasting your time. The only time it pays to file a complaint is if the lender is violating the laws or not honoring the terms of your mortgage agreement.
